The Wild Rumor of Zidane Becoming Germany’s National Coach

Zinédine Zidane is mentioned as one of the potential candidates for the position of head coach of the German national football team.

Hansi Flick was removed from the position of Germany’s national team coach, a first in history. To replace him, there are several candidates, some of them quite prominent. Bild throws out the improbable name of Zinedine Zidane, but it seems unlikely to happen. Even though the former Real Madrid coach reportedly expressed interest in coaching a team for the upcoming Euro.

Bild then turns more serious and suggests that Julian Nagelsmann is considered the favorite. Rudi Völler, the director of the national team who served as an interim coach against France, might also remain in his post.

Other names mentioned include Jürgen Klopp (currently at Liverpool), Matthias Sammer (a sporting director), Miroslav Klose (a young coach), Jürgen Klinsmann (former coach from 2004 to 2006, currently in charge of South Korea), and Lothar Matthäus (a TV pundit for the past 10 years).
