PSG’s Plan for Post-Mbappé Era: Gavi, Kimmich, Guimaraes in Focus

With Kylian Mbappé set to depart at the end of the season, PSG is considering a massive recruitment drive… in midfield.

The hammer blow has seemingly fallen, with Mbappé reportedly informing president Nasser al-Khelaïfi of his decision to leave PSG. The club had apparently prepared for this possibility, especially after last summer’s standoff.

« We want to continue to prioritize the institution above all. Plans are already in motion to sign new players. We will extend Warren Zaïre-Emery’s contract (valid until 2025 and he will be highlighted by the club), and we have the means to field a highly competitive team, » explained sources.

According to RMC, one or more « world-class » players will arrive to replace Kylian Mbappé. PSG could notably strengthen its midfield with one or more players from this list: Joshua Kimmich, Bruno Guimaraes, or even Gavi.
