PSG Turns to Rafael Leao as Kvaratskhelia Deal Stalls
As negotiations for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia hit a snag, PSG is looking to revive interest in Rafael Leao as a backup option.
PSG is already activating their Plan B strategies. This was evident in their defensive pursuits amid complications with the Leny Yoro deal. Now, the focus shifts to attacking reinforcements. While there have been no recent approaches, PSG Inside Actus reports that Rafael Leao remains on their radar.
Why revisit Rafael Leao? The negotiations with Napoli for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia have proven challenging. Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has made it personal and insists that the Georgian is not for sale.
Given these circumstances, PSG may once again consider the Portuguese forward, who is favored by sporting advisor Luis Campos. Campos had previously attempted to secure Leao’s services last year. However, it’s uncertain if Leao aligns with the preferences of PSG’s head coach, Luis Enrique.
The situation remains fluid, and PSG’s transfer plans could pivot depending on developments in both the Kvaratskhelia and Leao scenarios as the summer transfer window progresses.
