Luis Enrique does not want Manuel Ugarte. After a lackluster season at PSG, the Argentine midfielder is being asked to leave. Sky Sports reports that Manchester United has shown interest in Manuel Ugarte, the 23-year-old who has played 37 matches across all competitions this season.
According to L’Équipe, an initial offer has already been submitted by Manchester United, but PSG has rejected it. Ugarte was acquired for €60 million from Sporting Portugal last summer. While the exact amount of the Red Devils’ offer hasn’t been disclosed, it is likely below what PSG paid.
Manuel Ugarte has expressed a desire to stay at PSG, at least publicly. However, Luis Enrique’s stance could influence his decision. Manchester United may increase their offer.
