Mike Maignan, the 28-year-old goalkeeper for the French national team and AC Milan, under contract until 2026, is reportedly a target for PSG this transfer window.
La Repubblica reignited the speculation on Wednesday, suggesting that Maignan could replace Gianluigi Donnarumma, who has been linked with a move to Manchester City.
English media reported that Manchester City might lose their goalkeeper Ederson, who is in negotiations with Saudi club Al-Ittihad. This fueled speculation that City could recruit Gianluigi Donnarumma from PSG as a replacement.
Guardiola Not Interested in Donnarumma
However, this rumor was quickly debunked by journalist Fabrizio Romano. According to him, City does not intend to sign a new goalkeeper and plans to rely on their current number two, Stefan Ortega.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola reportedly has full confidence in the 31-year-old Stefan Ortega. The German goalkeeper played in 20 matches across all competitions during the 2023-2024 season and performed satisfactorily.
