Paris Saint-Germain is intensifying negotiations with Benfica to finalize the transfer of João Neves, aiming to close the deal in the coming days.
The Parisian club is accelerating talks with Benfica to secure João Neves before the weekend, according to O Jogo. The discussions have rapidly intensified recently, with PSG presenting an official offer.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirms that PSG has made a formal proposal after agreeing on personal terms with João Neves. Benfica’s president, Rui Costa, has acknowledged the existence of a proposal, though he did not specifically mention PSG: “Yes, there is an offer for João. We are discussing the amount.” He added, “I never said João would only leave for 120 million euros.”
According to Foot Mercato, PSG’s offer is 70 million euros. While Benfica hopes to receive a bit more, all parties are optimistic about reaching an agreement. Jorge Mendes, the influential agent, is privately very confident about the completion of the transfer.
