PSG is reportedly considering a move for Vinicius Jr. to fill the gap left by Kylian Mbappé’s departure. However, the Spanish press has a different perspective on this potential transfer.
According to RMC Sport’s Mohamed Bouhafsi on Génération After, PSG is eyeing Vinicius. Daniel Riolo from RMC confirms this, stating, « It’s exactly what I said two months ago. It doesn’t mean it will happen. PSG is making approaches. They’re saying, ‘You took Mbappé from us, we’ll take Vinicius. How much does he earn? We’ll pay twice as much.' »
PSG continues its pursuit of Vinicius Jr., a player they’ve been trying to recruit for years. However, Real Madrid has already given a definitive answer. According to AS, it’s a firm no. Vinicius Jr. is under contract until 2027 and will be playing alongside Kylian Mbappé. Moreover, Vinicius Jr. is content at Real Madrid and has no intention of leaving, complicating PSG’s plans following Mbappé’s departure.
To acquire Vinicius, PSG would need to convince him and be prepared to spend a significant amount of money. His new contract would reportedly include a €1 billion release clause.
PSG faces a daunting challenge as they seek to strengthen their squad after losing Mbappé, with Real Madrid’s firm stance on Vinicius Jr. adding further complexity to their transfer ambitions.
