PSG or Barça, Manchester City firmly closes the door on Bernardo Silva
Manchester City has no intention of selling Bernardo Silva to anyone.
There seems to be a difference of opinion between the management and the coaching staff. Manchester City’s coach, Pep Guardiola, clearly suggested that Bernardo Silva should leave if he’s no longer motivated. However, the management holds a different view: they are not willing to sell the Portuguese player.
After Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona is attempting to sign Bernardo Silva (28 years old, 34 matches and 4 goals in the Premier League for the 2022-2023 season) during this summer transfer window.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano’s information on Saturday, Manchester City’s leadership has categorically closed the door on the possibility of Bernardo Silva leaving during this transfer period.
The reigning Premier League champions are completely unwilling to engage in negotiations with FC Barcelona regarding the former AS Monaco player. Manchester City intends to present Silva with a contract extension offer in the near future, as his current contract is set to expire in June 2025.
