As the winter transfer window approaches, PSG is contemplating its options. While there are some targets for reinforcing the left flank, Luis Enrique might have a different idea in mind, according to L’Equipe.
What if the ideal replacement for Nuno Mendes on the left side is already at the club? PSG is in search of a left-back for the winter transfer window or the upcoming summer. Several names have been mentioned, such as Theo Hernandez, but L’Equipe reports that Luis Enrique might put his trust in the French right-back Nordi Mukiele, repositioned on the left.
Mukiele has delivered satisfactory performances, especially against Monaco. Starting in the last three Ligue 1 matches, the 26-year-old player has reportedly impressed internally, even though his left foot is noticeably weaker.
However, Luis Enrique’s coaching staff values Mukiele’s mental strength. His warrior-like mindset appeals to the Spanish coach. PSG could thus place its trust in Mukiele until Nuno Mendes returns. The impending return of Presnel Kimpembe could also be considered for this position. On the other hand, Layvin Kurzawa seems to have fallen behind, with hopes for a winter sale still in the air.
