Bernardo Silva, once a top priority for PSG last summer, is reportedly no longer a target for the club.

PSG Inside Actus on X suggests that PSG’s interest in the Portuguese player has waned due to the negotiations that took place last summer. It is claimed that Bernardo Silva leveraged PSG’s interest to negotiate a substantial contract extension with Manchester City.

The source states, « There will be no option triggered on Bernardo Silva on July 1st (2024). Paris Saint-Germain did not appreciate the player’s behavior, who took advantage of the club to extend and increase his salary at Manchester City. »

Last summer, Bernardo Silva renewed his contract, tying him to the Sky Blues until 2026. However, starting from the summer of 2024, the Portuguese midfielder could leave if a club pays the €58 million release clause, as mentioned by Relevo.
