Osimhen Close to Sign, PSG Must Sell Ramos or Kolo Muani

Victor Osimhen, the 25-year-old Nigerian forward currently under contract with Napoli until 2025, could soon join the ranks of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

According to reports from Corriere dello Sport, discussions between the two clubs are progressing rapidly, although no agreement has been reached yet regarding the players who might be included in the transaction.

Napoli aims to finalize the transfer before the second part of their training camp in Castel di Sangro, set to begin in about ten days. The Italian club has set a high price for Victor Osimhen, demanding between €120 and €130 million. To reduce this cost, PSG is considering including several of its players in the deal.

PSG has proposed Nordi Mukiele, Carlos Soler, and Kang-in Lee as part of the exchange, but Napoli seems only interested in Kang-in Lee. To secure Osimhen’s signature, PSG will need to act swiftly and efficiently.

To finance Osimhen’s arrival, PSG must sell one of their current forwards. Randal Kolo Muani is currently the frontrunner for a departure, with interest from Germany and England. However, an offer deemed insufficient was received from a German club. Gonçalo Ramos could also leave PSG, with potential destinations in Spain, notably Atletico Madrid, or in Italy.

The main obstacle for PSG is that neither Kolo Muani nor Ramos currently wish to leave the club, complicating the transfer plans.

PSG will need to navigate these discussions skillfully to convince Napoli and ensure that the players included in the deal, as well as the necessary departures, are acceptable to all parties involved.
