Kylian Mbappé’s departure from PSG next season is certain, but the financial aspect of the split has not been sealed.

Mbappé made the announcement himself, catching PSG somewhat off guard. The timing of the announcement was not coordinated with the club’s management. There are still matters to be resolved, particularly regarding finances.

During recent negotiations, an agreement was in the works involving the abandonment of bonuses estimated between €80 million and €100 million. However, PSG now intends to renegotiate with the player to determine a definitive compensation based on the contract he has since negotiated with Real Madrid.

Mbappé is set to leave PSG on a free transfer, but the club is expected to save at least €100 million, along with the player’s final year salary, totaling €200 million.
