Mbappé Could Extend His Stay at PSG
Kylian Mbappé, the 24-year-old forward whose contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in June, might consider an extension. L’Équipe discusses this possibility on Friday.
According to the sports newspaper L’Équipe, it’s unlikely that any significant developments will occur before 2024. Although the option of a contract extension with PSG is on the table, no decision has been made yet.
After the events of last summer, the parties involved prefer to focus on the pitch, and it appears that there won’t be significant progress until the first quarter of 2024. Real Madrid remains a contender in the race for Mbappé, while Liverpool still believes in its chances, although that would be a surprise.
However, another well-informed source, @PSGInside_Actus on X, claims that the desired timeline by the club is quite different. PSG and the Mbappé camp have planned to meet again in early November and then in December to continue negotiations.
PSG is determined not to let Mbappé become a free agent in January, so things are expected to accelerate in this matter. This source also mentions that Kylian Mbappé is very pleased with the recruits PSG has made this year and is content to see some of the promises about team strengthening being fulfilled.
