Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) seems determined to secure the signing of Bruno Guimarães promptly, according to information from Brazilian journalist Marcelo Bechler.
Interest in the Newcastle midfielder appears to be a priority for PSG in this winter transfer window. According to L’Equipe, it is Luis Enrique who is strongly pushing for the recruitment of Bruno Guimarães.
Discussions have been initiated with the English club, and Guimarães’s release clause is set at €115 million, payable in three installments. This approach could be advantageous for Newcastle, facing financial fair play issues. The success of the negotiation depends on Bruno Guimarães giving the green light.
However, the deal is expected to happen only at the very end of this transfer window. Both Newcastle and the player are reportedly waiting for PSG to enter the fray, according to the Brazilian press.
According to Marca, Antero Henrique could be a key figure in the potential signing of Guimarães for PSG. The former sporting director still maintains good relations with various parties, in addition to being close to the Emir and Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.
