The situation surrounding Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s contract extension is becoming increasingly complicated for Napoli. Despite renewed talks between the player’s representatives and club president Aurelio De Laurentiis, an agreement seems far from being reached.

The Georgian winger’s agent has demanded a net salary of 8 million euros per year until 2029, a figure that Napoli deems impossible to meet. According to *La Gazzetta dello Sport*, the club has no intention of complying with this request, making negotiations particularly tense. Kvaratskhelia, one of the most prominent players in the squad, is understandably seeking a salary increase in line with his performances and status. However, Napoli remains firm, refusing to exceed their financial constraints.

*Sky Sport Italia* reports that if talks fail, the club might be forced to sell the winger this summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer or for a reduced fee later. Kvaratskhelia, who has attracted interest from several top European clubs in recent months, could thus become one of the biggest names in the upcoming transfer window, with PSG still closely monitoring the situation.

For Napoli, this issue is proving to be a real headache. The club’s desire to retain their Georgian star clashes with economic demands that are hard to sustain, and they will need to make a crucial decision in the coming months.
