If Mbappé Leaves, PSG Will Pay Haaland’s Release Clause
According to OK Diario, PSG plans to make a strong move in case Kylian Mbappé departs next summer.
Dembélé, Kolo Muani, and Ramos to replace Mbappé? That won’t be enough for PSG’s management. In Spain, OK Diario claims that Paris has already made contact with the agent of Erling Haaland, Rafaela Pimenta, to assess the interest in the Norwegian striker. He would become the main target for the Parisian club if Mbappé does not renew his contract, which expires in June.
The situation is straightforward for both players: neither Mbappé nor Haaland would want to share the spotlight. It will be one or the other at Real Madrid. If Mbappé doesn’t extend, PSG will go all out for Erling Haaland, who has a release clause of €200 million to leave Manchester City at the end of the season.
The top priority for PSG’s Qatari owners is to convince Mbappé to continue his career in Paris and not move to Real Madrid. However, the task appears to be challenging at the moment. There are still a few months left before potentially pursuing Haaland.
