The conflict between Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappé could soon be brought before the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber. The club faces potential sanctions.
PSG is taking a huge risk in the Mbappé saga. The player, who is set to leave without compensation, has not been paid in April. According to RMC Sport, this « oversight » could cost the club dearly.
« When a club fails to meet its financial obligations within a 30-day period, the player can issue a warning granting an additional ten days to the infringing club to comply with its obligations, » notes RMC Sport.
**Will PSG be Penalized During the Transfer Window?**
According to article 14 bis, « if a club finds itself in breach by failing to pay at least two monthly salaries to the player on the scheduled dates, the player would then be entitled to terminate his contract for just cause, provided that a written warning has been issued to the debtor club and at least fifteen days have been granted to fulfill all financial obligations. »
And then? If the club still fails to rectify the situation, the player can appeal to the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber, which can impose sanctions: a warning, reprimand, fine, or even a ban on registering new players for one or two transfer windows.
