According to English journalist Ben Jacobs, Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimarães, 26, who currently plays for Newcastle United (contract until 2028 with a release clause of 117 million euros until June 30), is unlikely to sign for Paris Saint-Germain.

Jacobs asserts that PSG has no plans to attempt to recruit the Brazilian international this summer.

« After finalizing and formalizing Kylian Mbappe’s exit conditions, PSG will have a busy summer. Instead of spending all of its freed-up budget on a like-for-like replacement, PSG is expected to continue its youth-led project by adding a forward, a winger, a central midfielder, and a center-back. Victor Osimhen from Napoli remains a name to watch, » the source explains.

« Understand that PSG is no longer in the plans for Bruno Guimarães. There is no plan to trigger his release clause or negotiate with Newcastle. Bernardo Silva remains a target. »
