The official announcement has been made: Layvin Kurzawa will leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer, as his contract expires in June.

Layvin Kurzawa is moving on. After nine years at PSG, the defender, who began his professional career at AS Monaco in 2010, joined PSG in 2015. Kurzawa is also a French international, having represented his country in several major competitions. But for the past few months (or even years), Kurzawa has not been playing regularly for PSG.

Here is his farewell message to PSG:

« For you Paris Saint-Germain… It is with a heart full of emotion that I write this text.

Nine years at Paris Saint-Germain is no small feat. I have experienced very beautiful moments, as well as some tougher ones. But know that the love I have for Paris Saint-Germain is genuine. Throughout these years, I have grown with you, I have even become a father twice in this magnificent city.

I leave with a head filled with memories and believe me, every time I wore this jersey, I always wanted to give my best and above all, without cheating. I know that our relationship has sometimes been complicated, however, know that I only remember the positive and that I have been privileged for the Parc to be my home during these years.

After so many years, struggles, and battles, it is a chapter that closes. I want to particularly thank my teammates, the staff, the club, and the supporters. Players come and go but Paris Saint-Germain remains great… HERE IS PARIS! »
