Kylian Mbappé is set to arrive at Real Madrid next summer, if all goes as planned. But he won’t be wearing the number 7.
Having worn the 29 and then the 7 at PSG, Kylian Mbappé won’t have the same number at Madrid. At Real, the number 7 is already taken by none other than Vinicius Jr. And the Brazilian has no intention of giving up his cherished number.
So, Kylian Mbappé will have to find another number. But don’t panic, two legendary numbers are available or almost: the 9, left vacant by Karim Benzema since his departure. And probably the 10, which Luka Modric is expected to leave when he departs the club at the end of the season.
It’s conceivable that Endrick, the young Brazilian, could take on the number 9. Most likely, Mbappé will therefore wear the number 10, as he does for the French national team.
