This Former PSG Player's Harsh Critique of the Club

Alec Georgen paints a less-than-flattering picture of his time at PSG, particularly questioning the reputation of the club’s youth academy.

Once regarded as one of the most promising talents at Paris Saint-Germain, Alec Georgen (26 years old) has struggled to truly kickstart his career. Now a player at Dunkerque, the right-back reflects on the comfort he experienced at the Parisian club, contrasting sharply with his later experiences.

« When you leave PSG, you’re labeled. You often carry the image of a player who isn’t focused and isn’t hard-working. Unfortunately, everywhere I’ve gone, I’ve faced that prejudice, » he told Le Parisien.

« Of course, you discover a different world. At PSG, you’re protected and highlighted very quickly, even if you haven’t necessarily played professionally. We get used to working in extraordinary conditions, well above the average. The difference in terms of infrastructure and financial aspects can be quite disorienting when you leave Paris, » added the former Auxerre player.
