As the draw for the Champions League quarter-finals approaches, Opta’s predictive analyses are not in favor of PSG.
Despite PSG being among the top 8 teams in Europe this season, it might not be enough, according to Opta’s statistics. The organization predicts Manchester City to emerge victorious in the final. PSG, on the other hand, is just outside the Top 3.
PSG, which hasn’t qualified for the quarter-finals since the 2020-21 season, is now given an 11.8% probability of winning the trophy, according to Opta’s data. This places them significantly behind Manchester City, the clear favorite to retain their title (32.3%), and slightly behind Real Madrid (16.87%) and Arsenal (13.09%).
However, PSG is ahead of Bayern Munich under their former coach Thomas Tuchel (10.75%). Borussia Dortmund (5.62%), FC Barcelona (5.38%), and Atlético Madrid (4.19%) have even lower chances of success.
