Samir Nasri is not convinced about the relevance of the referee’s decision to award a penalty to Paris Saint-Germain in the final minutes of the match against Newcastle (1-1) in the Champions League.
The former player of Marseille and Manchester City, now a Canal+ consultant, believes that Tino Livramento’s handball in the box did not warrant the penalty, despite the VAR intervention.
« For me, there was never a penalty! The ball first touches the body and then bounces onto the hand, even if the rule apparently no longer exists. And sometimes, not all rules are good. »
« I think it’s compensation for everything that happened during the match. For me, on both handballs, there was no penalty. The penalty, I see it in Achraf Hakimi’s action (see here), » emphasized the Canal+ consultant.
