PSG vs Girona: First Clues on the Lineup

This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain will face Girona at Parc des Princes for the first matchday of the Champions League group stage (kick-off at 9 PM, broadcast on Canal+).

Three days before the Champions League match against Girona, there’s good news for Paris Saint-Germain: Warren Zaïre-Emery has returned to collective training. However, like Vitinha, there are still doubts about his participation.

Gianluigi Donnarumma, following a muscular discomfort in his right thigh felt during the match against Brest, will continue treatment this week and will miss this important match.

Tenas or Safonov?

Matvey Safonov, a Russian goalkeeper still unknown to the Parisian public, could make his first appearance with PSG at the start of the Champions League this Wednesday.

That said, coach Luis Enrique could also choose Arnau Tenas, known for his footwork, to face Girona, according to L’Équipe.

Possible lineup: Tenas or Safonov – Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes – Neves, Zaïre Emery or Vitinha, Lee – Dembélé, Asensio, Barcola
