The FIFA has unveiled the participants for the new Club World Cup, and PSG is among them.
The inaugural edition of the expanded Club World Cup will take place in 2025, featuring 32 teams. This marks a significant increase from the previous format, where only 7 teams participated since 2007.
The distribution includes twelve teams from Europe, six from South America, four from CONCACAF (North America, Central America, and the Caribbean), four from Africa, four from Asia, one from Oceania, and one host team.
The PSG will be part of the new Club World Cup scheduled to be held in the United States from June 15 to July 13, 2025, according to the FIFA announcement.
Other clubs already confirmed for the tournament include Manchester City, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Inter, Benfica, and Porto. Four additional teams will be announced soon, bringing the total to 32 teams for this prestigious competition. The current Club World Cup, featuring seven teams, will be held in Saudi Arabia from December 12 to 22, 2023.
