PSG Squad Valued at One Billion Euros

According to the CIES Football Observatory, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has spent approximately one billion euros to assemble its current squad.

PSG made significant investments in the summer transfer window to acquire players like Kang-In Lee, Lucas Hernandez, Gonçalo Ramos, and Randal Kolo Muani. This represents a staggering financial commitment. However, three other clubs have spent more on their squads: Manchester United (1.15 billion euros), Chelsea (1.134 billion euros), and Manchester City (1.042 billion euros).

Following these top spenders, other notable clubs include Arsenal (836 million euros), Tottenham (829 million euros), Liverpool (770 million euros), and Real Madrid (708 million euros) in terms of significant investments in their teams. Meanwhile, other major European clubs like Bayern Munich (481 million euros), Juventus (473 million euros), and FC Barcelona (375 million euros) have slightly lower squad expenses.

Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal surpasses FC Barcelona with 382 million euros spent on its squad, which includes players like Neymar, Neves, Koulibaly, and Milinkovic-Savic.

Among French clubs, PSG leads with its one-billion-euro expenditure, followed by AS Monaco at 364 million euros. Rounding out the top five are Stade Rennais (209 million euros), Olympique de Marseille (197 million euros), and OGC Nice (182 million euros).

Olympique Lyonnais ranks lower in terms of expenses in Ligue 1, having spent 126 million euros, behind Lille (119 million euros) and Lens (112 million euros).
