Paris Saint-Germain suffered a cruel ending to their match against Atlético Madrid (1-2) in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, despite dominating much of the game.

From the start, PSG were aggressive, with Hakimi, Dembélé, and Barcola putting pressure on Oblak. They took the lead thanks to a mistake from Lenglet, with Dembélé stealing the ball and assisting Zaïre-Emery (14′). However, Madrid quickly equalized, as Molina capitalized on a poor clearance from Nuno Mendes to score the equalizer (18′).

Following the equalizer, PSG continued to dominate but struggled to convert their chances, with Oblak proving crucial, especially with a save against Marquinhos and other attempts from Dembélé and Barcola. Despite constant pressure, the Parisians couldn’t break down Atlético’s well-organized defense. The frustrating scenario continued into the second half, and as a draw seemed likely, a late counter-attack from Atlético concluded by Correa in the dying seconds (90+3′) handed the victory to the Colchoneros, leaving PSG to rue their missed chances.
