Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly considering the possibility of adding a covered pitch to its Campus to better cope with adverse weather conditions.
The noise from traffic and sometimes violent winds that disrupt training sessions affect PSG as well. According to L’Equipe, the Parisian leaders are looking into reviving a project that was in progress before the construction of the Campus, with the aim of equipping the facility with a covered pitch.
This would enable players to train in sheltered conditions during inclement weather. « In this fall season disrupted by the weather, the issue of wind at the PSG Campus, revealed by L’Équipe, is more acute than ever. Faced with this disruption that affects Luis Enrique’s training sessions, the Parisian management is exploring solutions. »
« Among these solutions is the idea of covering a training pitch, akin to a hall, to reduce the impact of the wind. Originally part of the project for the new training center in Poissy, PSG intended to build a covered pitch, and it was included in the initial drafts. However, for economic reasons, the idea was abandoned, or at least shelved. Will it be brought back to the forefront soon? »
