The deadline for submitting applications for the concession of the Stade de France was set for Wednesday noon. Despite Paris Saint-Germain expressing interest in this initiative, the capital club ultimately decided not to officially submit a bid, according to Le Parisien.

« The Stade de France option was seriously studied by Nasser al-Khelaïfi and his advisors. But the dossier proved too complex with constraints that had initially been miscalculated, » states Le Parisien.

This decision comes after the announcement of Arctos entering the capital, which « played a significant role in the decision to focus on other projects. »

PSG now has two options: building its stadium at a new location or pursuing an advanced project to expand the Parc des Princes to approximately 60,000 seats, estimated at over 500 million euros. However, PSG still hopes for a sale of the venue, a prospect that Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo currently opposes.
