Paris FC Already Igniting Rivalry with PSG !

The Paris FC is on the verge of being acquired by the Arnault family and the Red Bull group, and club president Pierre Ferracci is eager to build on the upcoming rivalry with Paris Saint-Germain.

With Red Star out of the picture, it’s PSG that becomes the main competitor. The future derby between PSG and Paris FC is a key goal for the Ligue 2 side. In an appearance on RMC Sport’s *After Foot*, Ferracci, who will remain as president for the next three years, discussed the looming rivalry with Paris Saint-Germain.

« A rivalry with PSG? Our capital will be national and French, which isn’t the case for Red Star, and PSG is owned by Qatar. I can see a derby eventually in Ligue 1. All major European cities have two or three clubs in the top league. The economic power lies in big cities. I see this as a sign for French football. They say Paris is the best talent pool in the world; we need to tap into that potential. »

« I dream of having a team one day with a spine made up of players from the Île-de-France region. Red Bull will help with this. Red Bull is coming in with the Arnault family, who are new to football but have strong expertise alongside them. Red Bull has enormous data resources. The Arnault family isn’t aiming to challenge PSG or win the Champions League right away,” Ferracci explained.
