Neymar Jr’s situation is indeed concerning following his knee injury during the match against Uruguay. The player is seeking the best option for his surgery.

Examinations have confirmed a « ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in the left knee, » which requires a precise surgical procedure for Neymar, who was only just returning after several months of absence due to an ankle operation.

According to Goal Arabia, the Brazilian player is considering being operated on by Dr. Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet, a specialist in such operations based in Lyon, France.

Two options are being considered: either returning to France for the surgery or getting the procedure done in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where the French doctor has worked before.

The final decision will depend on Neymar’s choice and his medical team. This injury is a significant setback for the Al-Hilal player, and he will need to undergo an intensive rehabilitation program before being able to return to the pitch. Alternatively, he may need to consider the possibility of the end of his career.
