PSG is set to face Newcastle on Wednesday at 9 PM for the second matchday of the Champions League.
Could there be a surprise in store for PSG? Luis Enrique might field four attacking players against Newcastle on Wednesday night. According to Le Parisien, there’s a competition between Gonçalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani.
The lineup according to Le Parisien: Donnarumma, Hernandez – Skriniar – Marquinhos – Hakimi, Vitinha – Ugarte – Zaïre-Emery, Mbappé, Kolo Muani (or Ramos) – Dembélé.
However, according to L’Equipe, there could be even more changes in the works. Kolo Muani was initially recruited to play in a central position. But coach Luis Enrique is open to the possibility of a tactical system change in the coming weeks.
During training sessions, the players have also been working on a 4-2-3-1 formation, where Ousmane Dembélé would play a supporting role behind Ramos, with Kylian Mbappé on the left wing and Kolo Muani on the right wing. Vitinha might be the one to miss out on this reorganization.
The possible lineup according to L’Equipe: Donnarumma, Hernandez – Skriniar – Marquinhos – Hakimi – Ugarte – Zaïre-Emery – Dembélé – Mbappé, Kolo Muani, Ramos.
