According to Sports Zone, this occurred after PSG’s fourth goal, which further solidified their victory over OM. But is this really from last Sunday’s match?
Not at all. The embrace did happen, but it was captured at the beginning of the match. Both men know each other and have mutual respect. Al-Khelaïfi is the president of the ECA (European Club Association), the club’s union, while Longoria serves on the Board of Directors.
So, while the image may suggest a consoling moment after a defeat, it actually captured a friendly interaction between two individuals with a professional relationship.
