Mbappé refuses to negotiate financial deal with PSG

The dispute involves unpaid bonuses and salaries, with Mbappé seeking 55 million euros from Paris. The legal commission, after reviewing arguments from both sides, has emphasized the need for mediation between the player and the club. The commission’s statement urged Mbappé to consider the mediation process, which PSG has been seeking for months.

In response, PSG expressed satisfaction with the commission’s decision and reiterated that the player had made clear commitments that should be honored, citing the club’s significant investment over seven seasons. PSG welcomed the commission’s call for mediation, hoping it will resolve the issue.

However, Mbappé’s representatives have announced that he refuses to participate in the mediation. The French captain may now choose to pursue legal action against his former employer, which could prolong the dispute for several months or even up to two years.

Additionally, Mbappé has involved UEFA in the matter, and PSG could face sanctions from the European football governing body. While the LFP’s legal commission could have imposed a recruitment ban on PSG, it seems to have somewhat supported the club’s position.
