Samir Nasri, former player and consultant for Canal+, expressed his opinion on Kylian Mbappé’s future in an interview with the Journal du Dimanche.
According to Samir Nasri, Mbappé should consider staying in Paris because he is originally from the city, and that has more value for him than joining another club to win another Champions League, like Real Madrid.
Nasri suggests that staying as the « king of the village » is a better choice for Mbappé.
« If he leaves, it will leave a gap, but with the budget (of PSG), they can recruit other players who won’t be Mbappé, that’s clear. But today, he has such importance, whether in the French national team or with his club… »
« Two years ago, I already said he was the best player in the world. I still believe that. He’s from the Paris region: in my opinion, I would stay at PSG instead of going to Madrid to win Real’s fiftieth Champions League… If Marseille had been owned by Qatar when I was at the club, I would have never left. I think it’s better to be the king of your own village. »
