PSG is heading to Orléans for the 16th round of the Coupe de France: no financial gift for this National 1 club.

PSG willingly leaves its revenues to amateur clubs in the Coupe de France. This will not be the case this Saturday in Orléans. The National 1 club is a professional club. But that’s not all. According to L’Equipe, it’s also due to the hiccup around ticket prices: €60 in the visitors’ section. A rate that outraged PSG fans. So, PSG has decided to cover 50% of the price, for the 1,500 planned seats. So, €30.

“On the Orléans side, these amounts are justified by significant fixed costs to host this kind of gala match, which would not have been incurred by a less prestigious fixture. Especially since, unless there is a change before Saturday, PSG does not plan to leave its share of the revenues, as USO is a professional club.”

According to L’Equipe, Orléans wanted to offer lower prices… but was not allowed. “The most affordable tickets that the Loiret club was considering putting on sale (€30) standing around the field were not authorized by the Prefecture for safety reasons,” explains L’Equipe.
