After the heavy 4-1 defeat to Newcastle, PSG’s coach attempts to find excuses.

Everything went Newcastle’s way, but nothing went PSG’s way. As expected, Paris Saint-Germain’s coach, Luis Enrique, struggled to come to terms with his team’s defeat against Newcastle (1-4) in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.

The Spanish coach believes that the final scoreline was a bit harsh.

« These are tough moments for coaches. Our attitude at the beginning of the match was particularly good. We managed to break through Newcastle’s pressing. […] And I think the result is a bit unfair. I congratulate Newcastle; they played very well. But the result seems a bit excessive to me, » lamented the Parisian coach in front of Canal+ Foot cameras.
