Severe Suspension for Lucas Beraldo

Lucas Beradlo

Lucas Beradlo

Lucas Beraldo was shown a red card during OM-PSG, and the LFP (French Football League) did not take it lightly.

Automatically suspended for Wednesday’s Coupe de France match, Lucas Beraldo will be out for a while. The defender, who received a red card during last Sunday’s Clasico in Ligue 1, has been suspended for… two matches.

As a result, being suspended for the match against Rennes in the Coupe de France semi-final, the Brazilian will also miss the game against Clermont this Saturday (9 PM) in the championship. This is quite a severe suspension, especially considering that many observers did not understand the initial red card.

Lucas Hernandez is also suspended next weekend due to accumulating three yellow cards in ten matches.

Here are all the decisions made by the LFP’s Disciplinary Committee this Wednesday regarding Ligue 1 Uber Eats players:

Two-match suspension:
– Lucas Beraldo (Paris Saint-Germain)

One-match suspension and one match with probation:
– Billal Brahimi (Stade Brestois 29)

One-match suspension due to a third warning in a period including 10 official competition matches (Ligue 1 Uber Eats, Coupe de France, Trophée des Champions) or by revocation of probation. The sanction takes effect from Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 0:00.
– Kenny Lala (Stade Brestois 29)
– Jonas Martin (Stade Brestois 29)
– Maximiliano Caufriez (Clermont Foot 63)
– Nabil Bentaleb (LOSC)
– Duje Caleta-Car (Olympique Lyonnais)
