PSG faces a challenge from Ligue 1 as it seeks to avoid playing at Parc des Princes during the second matchday.
According to L’Equipe, PSG clashed with the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP). The club requested to play its first two Ligue 1 matches away due to the Olympic Games taking place at Parc des Princes and the scheduled turf change.
However, LFP denied this request. Consequently, PSG will play its first match of the season away and its second at home in mid-August, just after the Olympics.
With the men’s and women’s finals scheduled for August 10th at Parc des Princes, Ligue 1 resumes on August 12th, only two days later. Thus, PSG would return to Parc des Princes shortly after the Olympic competition concludes.
LFP will soon announce the schedule for the 2024-2025 season, detailing PSG’s early matches and those of other teams.
