PSG could be celebrating their French championship title next Wednesday. However, several conditions need to align for this to happen. Leading with a ten-point advantage and a game in hand, Paris is edging closer to its 12th record Ligue 1 Uber Eats title, the third consecutive and the 10th in twelve seasons.

While PSG cannot clinch the title this Sunday against Lyon, they could potentially secure it next Wednesday with a favorable scenario. Specifically, they would need to have a lead of over 12 points on their closest competitor before the 31st round.

The Pursuers Must Lose or Not Win

The Paris Saint-Germain could be crowned Ligue 1 Uber Eats champions next Wednesday after the postponed matches of the 29th round if:

1) PSG wins both matches against Lyon (Sunday, 30th round) and Lorient (Wednesday, 29th round), while simultaneously AS Monaco fails to achieve equally positive results (against Brest on Sunday, 30th round, and against Lille on Wednesday, 29th round).

In this scenario, PSG would have 69 points with four rounds remaining, an unattainable total for ASM, which would then have a maximum of 56 points. Even if Stade Brestois 29 were to defeat Monaco in the 30th round, PSG would still be out of reach, with a 13-point lead.

2) PSG remains unbeaten, securing a win and a draw in the next two matches, thus reaching a total of 67 points before the 31st round, while simultaneously AS Monaco fails to secure a victory during the same period, and Stade Brestois does not defeat Monaco this weekend.

A defeat for PSG in the next two matches would delay the officialization of the title until the 31st round and the game against HAC on Saturday, April 27th. Nonetheless, with a significantly favorable goal difference (+41 compared to +17 for Brest and +15 for Monaco), a single victory in the next two league matches would put PSG on track to secure the title.
