« Who ? » Pochettino Doesn’t Know Malang Sarr, One of His Players at Chelsea
« Mauricio Pochettino is making headlines for the wrong reasons: in a press conference, he appeared not to know Malang Sarr, one of his defenders at Chelsea.
Chelsea has a surplus of players. Too many recruits. The evidence is that the Blues’ coach doesn’t know all of them. After Chelsea’s victory (3-0) against Luton Town in the Premier League on Friday, a journalist asked: ‘I wanted to ask you a question about players who have disappeared. Malang Sarr, who was on loan last season…’ To this, Pochettino replied: ‘Who’s that?’ Not a joke, the former PSG coach genuinely seems not to know who is being referred to.
Malang Sarr returned to Chelsea; he was on loan at AS Monaco last season. Pochettino also doesn’t seem to know Jamie Cumming, a 23-year-old goalkeeper.
