Julian Nagelsmann will not be joining Bayern Munich next season as he extends his contract with Germany. Meanwhile, former PSG coach Unai Emery could potentially replace Thomas Tuchel.
Despite being a top candidate in Germany, Nagelsmann has decided to prolong his contract with the German national team until 2026, as reported by Bild.
With Nagelsmann out of contention, Bayern Munich will need to explore other options to find their next coach. The names of Unai Emery (Aston Villa) and Roberto De Zerbi (Brighton) are now circulating as potential successors to Thomas Tuchel, who will not be staying next season.
On the other hand, the German national team coach officially extended his contract on Friday until 2026. The decision was made unanimously by the supervisory board and the general assembly of DFB GmbH & Co. KG. Nagelsmann’s new contract will last until the end of the next FIFA World Cup in 2026, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, as stated on the official website of the German Football Association.
