Thierry Henry Soon to be France U21 national team Head Coach ?
The future of the France U21 national team could soon be in the hands of Thierry Henry. According to sources from Le Parisien, the 46-year-old former player is on the verge of succeeding Sylvain Ripoll as the head coach.
Negotiations are said to be in an advanced stage, and a comprehensive agreement could be announced in the very near future. Thierry Henry had been at the center of rumors involving PSG earlier in the transfer window, with a potential partnership with Nagelsmann.
Philippe Diallo, president of the French Football Federation (FFF), touched on the topic a few days ago. « It’s an important position, especially with next year’s Olympics. They generate a lot of interest from many potential talented coaches. We have many interested parties. We are finalizing the person who will be in charge of the U21s for the Euro 2025 qualifiers and the Olympics. » Other names such as Gourvennec, Julien Stéphan, Montanier, Rémi Garde, and Sabri Lamouchi have also been mentioned.
