After leaving Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to join Al Hilal, Neymar scored his first goal for his new club against Nassaji Mazandaran in the Asian Champions League.
While his former club PSG suffered a heavy defeat against Newcastle (4-1), Neymar, who has been relatively quiet since his departure, posted an enigmatic message on his social media platforms.
It read, « It’s not every day that an athlete receives a standing ovation from the opposing crowd. It’s not a coincidence to see your talent recognized and revered worldwide. It’s the result of hard work, an intense search for challenges, and the joy of doing what you love. »
This message has raised questions about whether Neymar was taking a subtle jab at PSG supporters who didn’t spare him during his final months in Paris.
