The Professional Football League’s (LFP) appeals commission is set to announce its decision regarding the financial dispute between Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), with a favorable ruling anticipated for the Real Madrid forward, who is claiming €55 million in unpaid wages.

According to reports from *L’Équipe* and AFP, the decision is expected to side with Mbappé. This development follows a recommendation from the LFP’s legal commission for PSG to make the payment, which the club has since appealed.

The conflict originated from a 2023 agreement where Mbappé, sidelined after refusing to extend his contract, had consented to waive certain bonuses if he left on a free transfer. However, the validity of this agreement is contested by the player, who refers to it as an « underground agreement. » In contrast, PSG argues that it is imperative to honor the commitments made by the player.

In light of the LFP’s forthcoming decision, several avenues for appeal remain open, including potential actions with the French Football Federation and possibly an administrative court. The situation is complex, and further legal battles may arise as Mbappé navigates ongoing media and legal challenges.
