At the Thinking Football Summit in Porto, Luis Campos, the sporting advisor for Paris Saint-Germain, discussed the negotiations surrounding Victor Osimhen.

Victor Osimhen was valued at over €100 million by Napoli, a significant sum that PSG was not willing to pay, especially since coach Luis Enrique was not keen on his arrival. The Nigerian striker was eventually loaned to a Turkish club.

Campos confirmed that Osimhen was considered by PSG: “He was looked at as one of the options, but we concluded that we were very satisfied with Gonçalo Ramos, Kolo Muani, and Marco Asensio.”

Osimhen’s PSG Clause

Campos clarified, “No, but I understand why people associate me with Osimhen since I brought him to Lille from Charleroi, and I have known him since he was 16. We have an excellent relationship and a lot of respect for each other. It’s just the market; we all talk to everyone.”

However, the door might still be open for Victor Osimhen to join PSG, as the player has a clause in his contract allowing him to move to several top clubs in January, including PSG.
