The dispute centers around unpaid bonuses and salaries. The Legal Commission of the Professional Football League, which Mbappé has approached, opted for mediation on Wednesday.

« Given the oral and documented arguments presented by the Club, the Commission has emphasized mediation between the parties, which PSG has been seeking for several months. The Commission has now invited the player to consider the mediation process, » the commission explained in a statement.

The Legal Commission of the Professional Football League thus invites PSG and the player to find common ground. On August 8, the former PSG forward filed a claim with the body, demanding payment of unpaid bonuses and salaries estimated at 55 million euros.


PSG claimed to have an oral agreement from the player. In a letter from his lawyer, the forward had proposed reducing the amount of several bonuses to allow PSG to save money in anticipation of a potential free transfer. However, the agreement was not signed by Mbappé.
