The PSG strategy involved a potential swap deal, offering Nordi Mukiele as part of the exchange, a plan that had initially been rejected by Bayern Munich. Kimmich’s ability to play both right-back (to cover for Achraf Hakimi during the Africa Cup of Nations) and in midfield makes him an ideal target, especially with Gabriel Moscardo’s deal turning into a fitness concern followed by an operation.
