Randal Kolo Muani was a guest on « Rothen S’Enflamme » on RMC Monday night, where he opened up about his challenging start at PSG.

Randal Kolo Muani is living out a childhood dream by signing with PSG. He readily admits it, but at the moment, this dream has had its share of obstacles. A meager goal tally and the difficulty of finding his place as a center-forward in a system with four attackers have added to the challenge. « It’s true that the first few months were very complicated, » acknowledged the former Eintracht Frankfurt player on RMC. « I wasn’t fully settled, and I was digesting my transfer. There were high expectations surrounding me, given the transfer fee and all that… There was a lot of pressure, but it’s starting to ease up a bit now. I’m getting back to ‘playing my football’ and enjoying the game, which is the most important thing. »

« My first goal against OM (4-0 on September 24th)? It really relieved me, and it felt great. There’s also the one against Milan (3-0 on October 25th), which did me good. It’s essential for a forward to score and have confidence to enjoy the game on the field, » Kolo Muani explained.

Kolo Muani was acquired by PSG for €95 million, which adds a certain level of pressure. « I know that people judge me based on the transfer fee, » he admitted. « It does put pressure on me because I have to prove that I’m worth that amount. But I shouldn’t be concerned about that. It’s up to me to play my football and not worry about people saying, ‘you’re worth this much.' »
