Neymar Denies Requesting Al-Hilal’s Coach to be Sacked
Neymar has vehemently denied rumors of tensions between him and his coach, Jorge Jesus, at Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
The Brazilian superstar took to social media to refute claims that he had requested Jorge Jesus’s departure. Neymar categorically dismissed the allegations as lies and called for an end to the spread of false information, describing it as highly disrespectful.
« These are lies, » Neymar asserted. « You must stop believing in such things. Pages like this one, with millions of followers, cannot continue to publish fake news. With all due respect, I ask you to stop this. It’s very disrespectful. »
Neymar’s statement aimed to dispel speculations regarding any discord with his coach and set the record straight.
Since his transfer from PSG to Al-Hilal for €90 million in August, Neymar has experienced a somewhat turbulent start to the season in Saudi Arabia. Initially sidelined due to injury, his competitive debut was delayed until September 15.
In his first start in the Asian Champions League a few days later, Neymar narrowly avoided a red card. Thus far, he has not yet found the back of the net for Al-Hilal, although the team currently sits in second place in the Saudi Pro League, just one point behind the leaders, Al-Ittihad.
Neymar’s denial of any rift with his coach signals his commitment to the team and a desire to focus on his performances on the pitch as Al-Hilal continues its campaign in both domestic and international competitions.
